God is Blessed

God is blessed, and He invites you and me to share in His blessedness. 

When you are able to see God as blissfully happy and utterly blessed, you cannot help but live every moment with an expectation that God wants to bless you, to be in harmonious relationship with you and to do good to you, in you and through you. 

Jonathan Edwards explained in one of his books why God created the world. He said that God did not need anything because He was perfectly happy in Himself. He was everything good, true and beautiful. But God wanted to share Himself, to show His glory--who He is and what He does, so He created the universe and put people in it so He could expand Himself, multiply Himself and gain a greater audience for Himself. Everything that exists in the cosmos exists for this purpose. 

God is so blessed that He wanted a whole universe to enjoy Him forever!

Remember that if you believe in Him and are in relationship with Him and will let Him help you do what He says, the blessed God will bless you in every imaginable way. 

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
